Email 4/21/09
Posted by: Sean Keith

Hi Choir!

*We do have rehearsal this Wednesday, 4/22.  We have a new song this weekend, in addition to “You Lifted Me Out” from Easter, so practice is so important. :)

*We need as many of you there on Sunday as possible!  Last Sunday, there were many we missed… only 22 people (2nd) & 25 people (3rd) in Choir.  We’ve gotta keep the momentum from big weeks like Easter, so we need each one of you!  If at all possible, please plan to sing this week & the weeks remaining thru May (remember, we take the summer off).

*Colors- Earth Tones

If you have any questions/comments, feel free to email me.

Thanks!

What A Great Palm Sunday!
Posted by: Sean Keith

Hi beloved choir!
I am so proud of you all and the job you did last Sunday!  You sounded killer and looked great.  As we head into Easter, let's be praying into the weekend.  Many came to Christ last Sunday and we all had a part to play in that.  Thank you for setting up the Holy Spirit to come in and wreck people.  God used you greatly and will continue to do so this next week with Easter here!  Also, props to Jane for her beautiful violin work and extra credit for having to fix her mic third service.  She was cool under pressure!  Thanks, Jane!!

Love to you all!  See you Thursday.

The End Of A Great Season
Posted by: Sean Keith

Hi everyone,
First of all, THANK YOU for singing in all the services this last week!  HOME RUN!!!  What a great addition you made in all the services, especially the 8 o'clock.  All morning long you were off the charts and I am are very grateful.

It's been a good year.  Not easy but good.  I'm very thankful for each one of you.  As I heard you share your hearts last week, it was encouraging to hear all that God has done in and through you all.  My prayer for you is that you have a great summer break and get refreshed and renewed, ready to come back this fall with a new vigor.  That is, except for the "Georges."  If they have much more vigor, we may have to sedate them!  :)  We will definitely be expecting more videos!!

Please be talking choir up to others as we will look to have auditions in September.

Thanks for the life you all bring as you LIVE AND GIVE THE ABUNDANT KINGDOM LIFE!!

IT'S 2008! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Posted by: Sean Keith

Dear Beloved Choir,
Happy New Year to each of you!  Thanks for your love and support in 2007.  Thanks for giving your lives away to the body of Christ at Trinity Church and for being a big part of ushering in the Holy Spirit weekly.  I am blessed to work with you and serve alongside of you!

Be encouraged, God is doing good things and the best is yet to come.  As you know, we are off for a couple of weeks and then will come together and get ready for Easter.  I have a new energy (not in the weird new age way) but a new pep in my step.  I've felt distant from you all and that is changing.  Let's kick 2008 off with a new commitment to love our church and love one another as we prepare for one of most exciting time of the year...EASTER!!

Please continue to get the word out about choir.  Let's build it big and strong!!

Love to you and your families!

Great Sunday!
Posted by: Sean Keith

What a great Sunday this past week!  I am very thankful for each one of you.  Thanks for letting God's gift, IN YOU, shine this last weekend as we ushered in the Holy Spirit.  For me, personally, I have experienced worship, like we had in the third service, only a handful of times in my history of leading worship.  I know I can't speak for everyone but I felt God's presence in such a strong way, I physically felt it as I sat down afterwards.  You were all part of that and I know God was pleased to be welcomed!

I also want you to know that I am excited for the future of Trinity Church and the Trinity Worship Choir.  I know we've lost individuals who are struggling right now and I pray someday they will return but for now, they are doing what they feel they need to do and I respect that.  For those of you who have stayed and are on this journey for the long haul, God will honor your faithfulness to Him and Him alone.  I'm honored to lead with you and God WILL grow this choir and form it to HIS desire.  I'm excited for that!!

Tell your friends about choir!  This is a great time to join as we approach the Easter season!!

My love to you all!

Change Of Plans

Hi beloved choir!
As you've heard by now, we are cancelling choir for the month of August and coming back together Sept. 12th.  I'm sorry for the false start, however, August has turned out to be an incredibly busy month for me.  I feel better about starting in September and going strong through Christmas.  In the meantime, this is a great time for people you know to audition (please make sure they sing).  I am working on a Saturday mass audition at the beginning of Sept.  I will get a date to you very soon!

Thank you for understanding.  I truly look forward to coming together again and gearing up for Christmas.

Hi everyone!
Sorry for the last minute change!  There are many parents wanting to be in Forge tomorrow night for the Nicaragua service.  Then I'm in Virginia next week and on vacation the week after that.  That's three weeks we will be off.  Just consider it a small break.  Keep writing on the site and keep tabs on each other.  It's good to keep the community happening.  We are in process of planning a picnic and we will talk about that soon.  Until then, enjoy the beautiful weather!!

Summer Break
Posted by: Sean Keith

Sorry it's taken so long to post a new message!  I just want to remind everyone that this Sunday will be our last Sunday to sing in the Sunday morning services until the Fall.  We are taking a much needed break.  We will still be practicing on Wednesday nights and singing a special once or twice this Summer but other than that, enjoy worshipping with your families in the congregation.  Every good thing needs rest and I believe this is one of those things.  We will come back bigger and stronger in the Fall so please plan on that as you make your plans for the end of the year.  WE WANT YOU BACK so don't over-book yourself this Fall.

Thank you for all you do!

Well, I don't know about you but I LOVE this time of year.  Lisa and I took the kids biking for the first time as a family.  We decided to bike around the lake that's behind our subdivision.  How far?  6.5 miles.  Yip...that was our plan.  Less than a mile into it, we were loving life!  The sun was shining, the birds were singing, boats were boating, people were fishing and picnicing!  Even a small deer came prancing right in front of us.  Come on, how could it get any better?   Just then, Joryn took a spill and bloodied her knee.  That was the end for her.  She was convinced her bike was not the safest place to be.  I told Lisa to continue on around with the boys and I would get Joryn to ride her bike again.  Umm...no.  That wasn't going to happen.   So Joryn and I enjoyed a mile walk back to the car with me pushing two bikes.  It also had not occurred to me that I had my shirt off the whole time and my back hadn't seen the sun for...ah...yeah, a year.  When we finally returned home, I realized my back was not supposed to be the color it was.

Well, it's a few days now for my redness to fade, however, since that day, Joryn has healed up and Josiah and I have taken our bikes around the lake successfully.  It has turned into the "father and son" thing to do.  Even just riding around the neighborhood.  Yes...spring is here and I love it!

As we look to a new year, please be praying about what God wants to do in our fellowship.  I look forward to what God has in store for us all this year.  Remember, if you know of people who should be in choir, let me know and get them to interview with me.  I believe God wants to grow us this year in Spirit and in numbers.

See you soon!

You Were Missed!!
Posted by: Sean Keith

Dear beloved choir,
You were missed greatly this last weekend.  I hope it was a good break for you but I'm looking forward to you getting back in the saddle this weekend.  Every time I needed the big vocal sound to come out I would turn around and be reminded that I gave you the week off!  What was I thinking?  :))  This weekend John Bevere will be here so be praying for God to do powerful things in all the services.  Don't ever underestimate your role as worship leaders.  You are vital to what goes on every week whether you are on stage or in the congregation.

I look forward to seeing you all soon.

What A Great Weekend!
Posted by: Sean Keith

Comments continue to come in!  You all did an outstanding job this last weekend.  Thank you again for your servant hearts and willingness to stay to the end.  I'm glad you were able to leave early and hopefully you had a great lunch, nap and time with the family.  I know I did.  :)  We will not be meeting this Wednesday night (April 10th) and I'm also giving you next Sunday off.  I think you deserve a break and, hopefully, you can enjoy being with your family during worship.

Once again, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!  It's an honor serving with you.  Also, a great thanks to Mark Kruger for his leadership and Cathy Jones for getting to church like at 2 a.m. to make sure coffee is made!  :))

See you NEXT WEEK!!

Well, after what seemed like forever, it was great to be back with you all on Sunday.  What a great morning and you all were a huge part of that.  Thanks for your servant hearts!  I know it was only one week we missed but any time we miss now it seems longer than it really is.

I look forward to this weekend with much anticipation.  Remember 5 AM!!!  I can't wait to see many of you that early!!  :))  Please be preparing all week.  Have your hearts ready and pray fervently that God would visit us in a great way and many would be redeemed and changed.

Love to you all.  See you on Wednesday night!

Party, Prayer and Packing!
Posted by: Sean Keith

Greetings everyone!  What a party Friday night!  One can not say we don't party hard.  Outrageous outfits, creative games, powerful prayer and broken bones!!  I'd like to send a shout out to Lisa who's recovering from her accident Friday night.  Let's be agreeing in prayer that she doesn't have to have surgery on her wrist.  She'll know by Friday.  Also, a huge thanks to Sangeetha, Kathy and Deanna for the wonderful planning.  I know there were others who helped greatly and we so appreciate you all.  It's great to have you on the team.

Please be praying for us as we continue to prepare for the move.  If anyone would like to help in the process, please let Anna Marie know.  The times of needed help are this Thursday night at 6pm.  We will be loading up the moving truck at our current house.  Then the next day, Friday, at 2pm we will be unloading the moving truck at the new house.  Sorry to extend it to two days but that's the way it will work best with our schedule.  I know many work in the day so peace but whoever can help, it would be much appreciated.  Please let Anna Marie know just so we can have a head count.

You all are great!

Are You Ready To Partaaay?
Posted by: Sean Keith

Thanks to all you putting the party together.  I've already decided on my outfit for the night.  Once again, I encourage us all to come and get to know each other even more!  Remember, it's Friday night, March 9th.

Well, today is a snow day.  Meaning, no school for kids, no work for dad, lots of shoveling, lots of packing.  Hmm...no dumpster diving today, I suppose!  Hey, have a great week.  You all sounded great at the last rehearsal!

Happy Valentine's Week!
Posted by: Sean Keith

Have a great week everyone!  Thanks for being such a great community of people.  I count it a priviledge to lead with you.  Continue to read Mark's posts.  They're great!  Also, remember we don't have choir this week so enjoy a free night and we'll reconvene next Wednesday.

Sick No More!
Posted by: Sean Keith

Thanks for your patience with me and prayers for me this last week.  I'm feeling much better and we are on like donkey kong for this Wed. night.  Great job today, everyone!  Really, it was a solid morning and, once again, I'm so thankful to have you all up leading worship with me.  Let's keep Deb in prayer.  Her arm is coming along but she is still in need of prayer.  I will have an update this week in choir.  Also, Kathy Garvey was sick today.  Let's be praying for one another and making sure we are all covered in prayer.  :)  Okay, see you all Wednesday!!

No Rehearsal Tonight!
Posted by: Sean Keith

Hey Everybody!  (This is Anna Marie)  Sean asked me to post a blog, call, and email everyone to let you all know that.... we won't be having rehearsal tonight!  Our faithful leader is really sick! :(  Also, since we aren't sure what the weather will be like by this evening, he thought it might be best to cancel.  He did want me to encourage you to feel free to jump into the prayer class or even feel the freedom to stay home.  We will be posting the worship set list for this weekend today, so come back and check it out!  Be praying for Sean (I know you all will, you are so great!) & for this weekend.  I love serving you all!  Let me know if you need anything.  Thanks! :) -Anna Marie Adams

Worship
Posted by: Sean Keith

As you know, Theocity is happening Friday, Jan. 26th.  I'd love to see you all out supporting Ben and Jake and the rest of the worship leaders.  Thanks, everyone, for your continuing support of worship on Sundays.  What you do every week is strengthening the Kingdom and I love to serve with each of you!  Keep listening to the songs we post.  Let the words of the songs take root in your heart so that on Sundays we experience the overflow from that!!

Back In The Flow
Posted by: Sean Keith

Welcome back, everyone!  I trust everyone's holiday was filled with life, peace and joy.  As we are heading into Easter, I want to encourage you all to have your eyes and ears open for new talent.  Those who are made to be in choir!  I believe our body is filled with people who have the gift of singing and worship leading and they don't even know it!!  This is where you come in.  :)  Not so say we want to drag people to choir to can't sing or who can sing but don't have a worshiper's heart.  But we do want to find people who need a place to serve and have a gift in singing.  Sooo...stay on the watch.  Remember, anyone who wants to join needs to make an appointment with Anna Marie and we will take it from there.

You all rock!

Happy New Year and More!!!
Posted by: Sean Keith

WOW!!!  Can we please get a director who will keep up with the Directors Message better than this!!  Sorry for my lack of penmanship or in this case keymanship.  I trust all you all had a great New Year's Eve and day.  Lisa, the kids and I had a great day filled with football, eating, more football, more eating, a fire in the fireplace, football again, snack, guitar hero II and...oh, yeah...more football and food.  Very uneventful and yet, very restful and fulfilling.  The next day we spent snowboarding and sledding.  Yes, yours truly made his first attempt at snowboarding, only to hear the smack of my eight-year-old say, "Come on, dad!  You can't make it anymore than 2 feet!!"  To which I grounded him and took away all his toys and priviledges!  Okay, not really.  The stinker nailed it on his first couple of tries!  Now I have dreams of him going professional and supporting Lisa and I the rest of our lives.  How can I ground him for that!  :)

Hey, I'm excited for the new year and I'm already planning for Easter.  Continue to keep your ears and eyes open for new talent to join choir.  I have high expectations for growth this year!  See you all on January 10th!!

Christmas Is Coming!!
Posted by: Sean Keith

I don't know about you all but the phrase, "Happy Holidays," seems to be all I'm hearing these days as I make my way in and out of stores.  But I'm happy to say, it's more than a holiday to me.  I know it is for all of you, as well.  It's Christmas  time!!  Time to let our gifts shine as we enter into the new year.  I'm so thankful for what God is doing in and among us!  It is a pure joy to work with you all and I can't wait for Christmas Eve to get here!!

Let's remember to keep this whole month of December a joyful one!  As we sing every week, people are looking to us and our leadership to lead them into God's presence and for the Holy Spirit to rest among us in our services.

Love to you all and, oh, yeah...MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Welcome home everyone!  It's great to see you all back ready to go.  It's going to be a great year with you all.  I'm pumped about the possibilities of what God's going to do in our services because of your sacrifice.  Remember to be listening to your worship CD's and getting the lyrics into your soul as well as learning the music.

Over The Top
Posted by: Sean Keith

What a great time at the picnic!  I trust everyone had fun got to know someone better than they did before.  Lisa and I thank you all very much for the cards and gifts.  By the way, Tim and Kathy Garvey were celebrating their anniversary THAT DAY!!!  Yet they gave their time to make the night happen!  Make sure you wish them a happy anniversary.  Thank you again to all involved in making it happen.  That was some pig roast!!

I'm in North Carolina right now at a songwriter's conference.  While I'm here, I am dreaming into this fall and what it's going to look like.  Please be praying.  Even though we are all excited, change is hard on everyone.  As we get the worship choir involved on a more regular basis, we know the enemy won't like it.  We'll be talking about it when choir starts meeting again.

Be reading to go with rehearsals again, Sept. 6!

Love to you all!

Happy 4th of July!!
Posted by: Sean Keith

I trust everyone is doing great and enjoying the break we've had lately.  This wasn't a planned break but it seems the busyness of summer has been a cause for more weeks off than normal.  If this is a blessing to you, great!  If it's a disappointment, forgive me and get ready for a great fall!

I'm still waiting to hear about this fall and when we will start to be involved on Sunday mornings on a regular basis.  Until then, I would encourage you to be praying for us as a community.  That God would fill us with his Holy Spirit and His annointing would follow us daily, even on our break through August!

Please be letting others know about choir and if they can sing, we want them!!

I love you all!  Again, Happy 4th!!  Remember, no choir this Wednesday.

10x12!!
Posted by: Sean Keith

Hey everyone,
Once again, thanks so much for your willingness to participate in the concert.  I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.  You all sounded as good as the CD!  Also, thanks for continuing to hold me up in prayer for Sunday mornings.  It's a good feeling to know you are surrounded by people who support you and are willing to go to battle for you.  We are looking at Sunday, July 23rd to sing next.  Don't write it in pen yet.  I need to confirm this date with the planning team but that's what we are thinking.  Then we will take the month of August off along with the rest of the Wednesday night class.  Aside from you missing choir tremendously, I'm hoping this is a restful time for us all as we gear up for the fall.

Lastly, as the heading says, we are still looking to increase the number of men in choir.  I would also put sopranos in that same catagory.  WE NEED SOPRANOS!  Not to say we don't have a great soprano section because we do...we just need more!  Now don't go snagging just anyone.  They have to be able to sing but be thinking and keep your ears open!

Rock-n-roll. It's a Go!
Posted by: Sean Keith

Hey everyone,
We are going for it!  We are doing a choir run through at 5:30 on Wednesday.  Please don't be late or you will miss the soundcheck which will be very quick.  We are providing pizza immediately after the soundcheck down in the choir room.  The downstairs will most be blocked off for band and choir members only.

The song will be at the end of the concert so if you aren't planning on staying for the whole night, you won't want to come to soundcheck.  Should be a great time!  Please continue to pray for me as I have a lot going on and the stress is building.  Thank you.  See you all on Wednesday at 5:30.  If it helps you to think of it as 5:00, you can be early. :)  Also, remember to wear jeans with a black and/or white top.  Anything is fine as long as it's appropriate.

Rock on!

Easter Sunday
Posted by: Sean Keith

Hi everybody!
I'm looking forward to this weekend with great anticipation!  I know we have rehearsal tonight but I wanted to put a bug in all the men's ears.  P. Les thought that everything was great this last weekend but the one thing he would change is the guy's white shirts.  The ladies looked really nice in their colors but then the guys looked very plain.  So I said, "what if we wore short sleeve shirts, untucked, with no tie!  He said great!  I say doubly great!!  We will talk about it tonight but I just wanted you to know what was up.

See you all tonight!

Rock on!
Posted by: Sean Keith

Hey everyone,
I just want you to know how proud I am of you all.  You sounded incredible last night and I know the Holy Spirit is going to move greatly this weekend!  Men, remember you are wearing WHITE shirts with black pants and some kind of pastel or neutral tie.  Ladies, please be modest and where skirts that are below the knee and shirts that don't show curvature.  :)  Thanks!  You can also where black pants.

Remember, 7am sharp!  We will have food for you.  My apologies...I burned the Palm Sunday/Easter Sunday choir cds before I added "Hosanna" so it's not on the cd but you all got it right away last Thursday night at practice so I'm not concerned.

Remember, you are not just a choir...you are worship leaders so SMILE, SMILE, SMILE and worship with all of your hearts!!

Choir sings on!!!
Posted by: Sean Keith

Hi everyone,
Hopefully, you've all been contacted but just in case you haven't, choir practice is on for tonight!  I know Russell Sage is speaking, however, after talking with P. Les, he is in total agreement that we need to have practice since we are so close to Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday.  This meeting with Russell was a last minute decision.  It wasn't originally scheduled and it left me a bit bewildered when I heard about it.  While I am all for it and excited for what God wants to deposit through Russell Sage, I am also wanting to be a good steward of our time and preparation for one of the biggest weekends of the year.

Therefore, here's what we will do...I know some of you are making plans to go to hear Russell Sage regardless of whether or not we have choir but I beg you...resist the temptation!  :)  We really do need you in choir.  Here's what I am willing to do.  We will start choir promptly at 7pm.  We will work from 7-8.  Then I will release you at 8 o'clock and for those of you who want to hear Russell can go then.  You won't miss too much of his speaking and you will catch all of the ministry time, if there is any.   Please hear my heart.  I want you to be ministered to but I also want to be ready for this very important time and I believe this is  a way we can do both.

Let me say this again, please, please, please, be at choir  tonight.  Let's not forget, God will bless our hard work and even when we feel like we are missing out on something else, God  will honor your commitment you've made to the Trinity Worship Choir and you will see the fruit of your labor!

Thanks, all!  I look forward to seeing you there tomorrow night at 7 sharp.

Easter's Coming!
Posted by: Sean Keith

Well, I am really excited to start this new phase of life with you all.  I'm not really even sure what it's going to look like but I'm glad we are on the journey together.  Please be proactive to talk with people in choir who you haven't seen for a while.  Let's at least give them a chance to squirm!

Also, please be praying for Carol Kruger.  Carol was in choir years ago under P. Dave Collins' leadership and she was just diagnosed with the late stages of lung cancer.  It has spread to her spine and they have given her six months to a year to live.  Let's be praying for complete healing!  Kelly and Rachel Kruger have both been in choir but are not at this point.  However, if you see them please let them know you are praying.

I'm so grateful for you all.  I'm looking forward to the PAR-TAY this Friday.  Rock and roll!  Thanks to Kathy Garvey and the gang for pulling it all together!  I will look for my grass skirt and don't even tempt me to do the limbo!!

Love to you all!

Hi everyone.  Thanks for taking part in the recording on Wednesday.  I've been doing some editing and I think it's going to work great.  I should have something for you to hear on Wednesday.  Also, as many of you who can come to P. Dave and Sarah's farewell lunch this Sunday afternoon at 2pm.  We want to bless them with as many people who have worked with him over the years and I know he's loved working with the choir on several occasions.

Have a great week everybody!  We will see you all next week!!

Audition Results!
Posted by: Sean Keith

Thanks to all who auditioned.  This was one of the tougher solo decisions I've had to make.  I apologize for not getting this to you sooner.  This last weekend I lead worship at the Forge High School Retreat and I'm still recovering!  Please note that next week (2.29), we are going to record the choir vocals for one of the songs on my cd called, "Forevermore."  I'm pumped about it.  Tell everyone you know who's in choir to be there ready to go.  It's not a hard part and we should be able to do it pretty quickly.

Thanks again, all you who sang for me.  I know it wasn't easy.  Here's the results:  Ali Lawler, Eva Hecht and Lori Bliss.  If you are one who didn't get a part, please audition again.  The next one could be yours!

You all rock!

Onward With No Director!
Posted by: Sean Keith

Okay, everyone...the big day, the big test.  Not that you all aren't capable and reliable but I just want to make sure we know the importance of smiling and looking joyful and triumphant during the song this Sunday.  No sad faces.  It wouldn't look good as you are singing, "Your Love Is Lifting Me Higher!"  Also, please, please, please be on time.  The food will be in place thanks to Kathy and Jim and others of you who are helping.  Thanks!  I will look forward to seeing you in your t-shirts and jeans on video.  Sing well, look excited!  I want to keep my job.  Is that so much to ask!  The boy just wants to keep his job!!

Peace out.

Whoa, Hang on, Hold The Phone, No Worries Here!!!
Posted by: Sean Keith

Well, let me just say, in case you haven't heard, I have been named Worship Pastor of Trinity Church.  For those who weren't in church today, Dave Kelly has taken a position in Birmingham, England and is leaving in April.  Because commuting is so expensive and just an out-right drag, the worship leader position opened up and after several meetings and interviews, I have accepted this position with honor.  Beginning in April, I will assume the position of Worship Pastor.

Now, I've talked with some of you who wonder what's going to happen with choir and let me just say, there will be many changes in the area of increased growth and unity!!  In other words, choir is going to be stronger than ever and I'm excited for the things God has in store for us.  Bottom line...like it or not, you are stuck with me and I'm pumped about it!  Woohoo!!

God is great and I have dreams and plans for us beyond expectations!  I'm looking forward to Wednesday.

Love to you all!

Some of you say you are illiterate on the computer, however, though it may take you twice as long to type, you find yourself wanting the challenge, needing the challenge, waiting for the challenge.  So I salute you!

I am realizing that there is so much here to read and after a while I start putting wrong faces with wrong names (i.e.  amanda vs. amandalynn, etc.).  Therefore, I love that some of you have typed little hints about who you are within your posts.  Please continue to do so for a while so that we can all catch the vision of who you are.  YESSSSS!!!

Have a great week everyone.  See you next Wednesday!!
